Rich Aucoin, Libertarian for Lt. Governor

Rich Aucoin says: Small Government Leaves us Free

Rich Aucoin is the only candidate for Lt. Governor who backs tax-cutting Ballot Question One.

Question One will give back an average of $3,000 to every worker in the commonwealth. Every year. And it will create 300,000 to 500,000 new jobs.

Even after we pass Question One, the state budget will be $14 Billion - which is $4 Billion higher than Big-Government Mike Dukakis' last proposed budget. So even after we pass Question One, state government will still be too big.

Nevertheless, wealthy Republican Mitt Romney and his wealthy Republican running mate oppose any tax relief for working families. They have both publicly opposed the benefits of Question One. They would rather keep your $3,000/yr on Beacon Hill, where they and the Democrat politicians can continue waging a tug o' war over it.

The facts are staggering: State spending has doubled over the last decade.

But are our children getting double the education?

Are our roads doubly well paved?

Have big-government health care regulations made health care twice as affordable for average families?

The thousands of voters I've met this year, while collecting signatures for Ballot Question One, have said "NO!" In fact, the unchecked growth in state spending - along with the extreme arrogance on Beacon Hill - has only made things worse.

Each time the two old parties have increased spending to "fix" something, they've left us with less local control, increased costs, and decreased quality of services.

After 10 years of drunken spending, the truth is out about big state government: One-size-fits-all state government programs don't fit the average working family at all. They only tie our hands and tax away our self-reliance.

Do You Need a Tax Cut?

Could your family use $3,000, every year, for school tuition? For a safer family vehicle? For your favorite charity? To save up for a home? To pay off debt? To help a loved one in need? How will you spend your $3,000/yr?

Maybe your family doesn't need Question One's $3,000/yr.

Do you know other working families that are struggling?

Do you know someone who desperately needs a job?

If so, then please help the many hard-working taxpayers who are less fortunate than you are. Vote YES on Question One, and vote for Carla Howell & Rich Aucoin, the only candidates for Governor & Lt. Governor with a plan to downsize wasteful state government, create much-needed jobs, and cut taxes.
